About Plart

Plart is a platform for creating generative art and data visualizations. The name is a portmanteau of “play” and “art” (or “data” and “art”). Our tagline: create art with data.

Users visit studios -- self-contained creative tools that take input data and transform it into visual artwork. What makes Plart different is that studios are plugins built by the community. Any developer can build a studio using p5.js or d3.js, submit it, and once approved, it's live for all users.
